Currently, 27,708 people live in Kirkwood, while 22,951 individuals reside in Webster Groves. Those who commute to and from St. Louis enjoy a one-way drive time of under 30 minutes. Commercial areas are charming and have a small-town look and feel. Lockwood Avenue in Webster Groves, and Kirkwood Road in Kirkwood, have a similar appearance. Each of these main parts of town has a wonderful selection of locally-owned shops and restaurants for residents to frequent.

In this same park, you can also cool off in the hot summer weather at the Webster Groves Swimming Pool. Those who delight in a good golf game will definitely want to visit both the Algonquin Golf Club and the Westborough Country Club.
 
Kirkwood has just as many sights and attractions to offer. Among the more noteworthy places to visit is The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum. This imaginative museum is full of innovative and hands-on exhibits. For a history lesson, take a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park. Additionally, spend a morning or afternoon at Kirkwood Park, Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center, or Emmenegger Nature Park.
